In the context of emails, a “label” typically refers to a way of categorizing or organizing emails within an email client or service.
Unlike folders, which are a hierarchical way of organizing emails, labels are a more flexible system used by some email providers.
For example, in Gmail, emails can be assigned one or more labels to help users easily categorize and find their messages.
Labels act as tags that can be applied to emails, allowing users to organize their inbox in a way that suits their workflow.
This is particularly useful for managing and sorting emails that may belong to multiple categories or topics.
Labels provide a form of organization without requiring users to adhere to a strict folder structure, offering more flexibility in managing and accessing their email content.
in summary this help you identify email coming from specific person or organization without having to go through stress of searching for old emails.
